Share an exported PDF by email
Export your finished PDF, then choose Email in Classic Outlook or use Share for new Outlook and other Windows sharing apps.
Export the PDF
Choose Export, select PDF, then choose Export PDF.
Save the file
Choose a file name and location, then save. Wait for the File exported panel.
Choose your email pathway
For Classic Outlook, choose Email in Classic Outlook, between Open folder and Share. This option appears only when the app finds an installed Classic Outlook. It opens a normal unsent email with your exported PDF attached using its saved filename.
For new Outlook or another Windows sharing app, choose Share. Windows shows the sharing options available on your computer. Select your email app there, as shown in the video. Share remains a separate action even when both versions of Outlook are installed.
Check and edit the draft
Check the attached PDF. In Classic Outlook, you can add more attachments, change the From account to an account or shared mailbox available in Outlook, and edit To, Cc, Bcc, subject and body. Outlook manages your signature and account selection. Review the email before sending, or close the draft without sending. Simple Office Tools never sends it automatically.
If a file or Classic Outlook becomes unavailable, or the launch request fails, Simple Office Tools shows an error. Check Outlook for any later compose or attachment error before sending. You can also attach the saved PDF manually in your email app.
Common questions
Why can’t I see my email app?
Windows Share only shows supported, configured sharing options. The separate Email in Classic Outlook action requires a valid Classic Outlook installation; new Outlook alone does not make it appear. Availability is checked each time the File exported panel opens. If Classic Outlook is missing, check its installation. You can also open your email app directly and attach the saved PDF.
Does choosing Share immediately send an email?
No. Share opens the Windows sharing panel. Continue in your chosen app and review the recipient, attachment and message before sending.
