Rearrange documents

Put whole documents in the order you want before making changes to individual pages.

Before you start: Add two or more files, then continue to Arrange.
Silent video · 6 seconds. Drag a document row to the blue insertion line to move the whole document. Use fullscreen for a closer view.
  1. Choose Documents

    Under Arrange by, choose Documents.

Each row represents one of the files you added.

  2. Drag a document

Use the grip at the start of a document row and drag the document up or down.

A blue insertion line shows where the document will be placed.

  3. Drop it into position

Release the document at the insertion line.

The whole document moves together, including all of its pages.

  4. Fine-tune individual pages if needed

If you need to move individual pages, switch Arrange by to All pages.

You can then drag individual pages or select and move several pages together.

Tip: Arrange whole documents first, then make individual page changes. This is usually the quickest way to organise a large pack.

Common questions

Does moving a document change the order of pages inside it?

No. The document and all of its pages move together in their existing order.

Can I still move individual pages afterwards?

Yes. Switch to All pages whenever you need finer control over the final page order.
